I’ve always been petrified of dentists. In my last appointment I got numbed and ran off before the drill could touch a tooth. Showing up to Brooklyn Dentist, I was impressed by the relaxing atmosphere, entertained by the show on tv, it was laid out nicely. When I found out I had a cavity that needed drilling, I became really nervous as I always do. I began shaking. Dr. Shahin convinced me to stay and stick with it. And lo and behold: I felt nothing. Today was my first visit and I think I found my new dentist for yearly cleaning.This dentist is out of network for my insurance plan but I have out of network benefits for cleanings and I’m not going anywhere else. The dental office is clean and the receptionist is friendly. She gave me forms to fill out with a warm smile. My hygienist was the amazing doctor! He was so gentle and friendly and treated me while a soft symphony played in the background. There is also a tv in the waiting room so you can sit back and relax while you wait. They also offered me chapstick which was very thoughtful because I have super chapped lips and he was extremely thorough. I am usually terrified of xray scans at a dentist because they are way too big and uncomfortable, there they are smaller than any other slides I’ve had. Did I mention that before the cleaning, Dr. Shahin examined my xrays scans and checked my gums, my tongue and my jaw alignment? I feel a click in my jaw after I had my wisdom teeth removed by another dentist, he was so thorough! We went into an in depth conversation about invisalign after mentioning the protrusion that bothered me a bit. Not sure if they still offer the free starbucks giftcard for yelp, but it’s okay. I am just so happy I found a new dentist close to Bath Beach, Brooklyn. The only thing I regret is forgetting to ask what the price of Invisalign was.
You can’t go wrong if you choose this dental clinic for your dental care. The staff is extremely nice and friendly, the doctor is actually the hygienist, and is wonderful, thorough in his work and so pleasant to chat with. Dr. Shahin is just great!
